Carrot Cake Frosting Without Cream Cheese

Step 1: Gather all of the ingredients for this vanilla buttercream frosting. You can use vegan butter if needed.

Step 2: Add butter to a large mixing bowl. Using a mixer, beat on high for 3-4 minutes. Until the butter is fluffy and light in texture.

Step 3: Add powdered sugar to the bowl, alongside with vanilla extract, and salt. Beat on slow speed for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4: Start adding the milk gradually, 1 tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.

Step 5: For best results, make carrot cake cupcakes or carrot cake and let it cool completely before frosting.

Step 6: Transfer the frosting into a piping bag and frost each cupcake. Top with crushed walnuts or sprinkles.

You can make the frosting ahead of time and keep it in the fridge for a week. Then use when you're ready!
