Easy Vegan Apple  Crisp Recipe

Step 1: Gather all of the ingredients for this apple crisp. It's best to use a combination of honey crisp and granny smith apples.

Step 2: Core, peel, and cut the apples into small pieces. This way your apples will cook through by the time the topping has browned.

Step 3: Add the apple pieces to a baking dish and toss with cinnamon, sugar, and lemon juice. You can also add a dash of nutmeg if desired.

Step 4: To make the oat topping, add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix well using your hands until everything is coated.

Step 5: For best results, use solid, but scoopable coconut oil. It makes for a better texture for the oat topping and ensures that it will be light and crumbly.

Step 6: Add the oat topping over the apples and bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven to 170C (360F), until golden brown,

Step 7: Serve with vanilla ice cream. yogurt, or a drizzle of maple syrup. Keeps for up to 1 week in the fridge.
