-gluten-free oat milk -vegan butter -nutritional yeast -gluten-free flour -salt -black pepper
In a medium saucepan, melt vegan butter over medium-low heat, until it starts to sizzle.
Add flour and using a whisk, mix until a paste is formed. Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until golden.
Slowly pour the milk, while whisking constantly to prevent clumps. Then, add salt, black pepper, and nutritional yeast.
Cook for 5-7 minutes over medium-low heat, or until the gluten-free bechamel thickens and coats the back of a wooden spoon.
You can make it thicker or thinner depending on your preference. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
