Lemon Turmeric  Tea Cake

easy + fluffy + perfect for spring!

Step 1: Gather all of the ingredients for the lemon turmeric tea cake. Then, zest and juice the lemons.

Step 2: To a bowl, add eggs, olive oil, yogurt, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well. Then, stir in the lemon zest.

Step 3: To another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and turmeric. Sift the dry ingredients into the wet and mix.

Step 4: Pour the cake batter into a prepared bread loaf and bake for 45-50 minutes. Halfway through, cover with foil.

Step 5: Insert a toothpick in the center of the cake, and if it comes out clean, it's ready. Take it out of the oven.

Step 7: Let it cool completely, then drizzle with a powdered sugar glaze. Let it sit for 10 minutes to harden.

Step 8: Slice into 2-inch pieces and serve with whipped cream on top! Enjoy with a cup of tea on the side.
