-oat milk -vegan butter -nutritional yeast -all-purpose flour -salt -black pepper
In a medium saucepan, melt vegan butter over medium-low heat, until it starts to sizzle.
Add flour and using a whisk, mix until a paste is formed. Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until golden.
Slowly pour the milk, while whisking constantly to prevent clumps. Then, add salt, black pepper, and nutritional yeast.
Cook for 5-7 minutes over medium-low heat, or until the vegan bechamel thickens and coats the back of a wooden spoon.
You can make it thicker or thinner depending on your preference. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
Use the sauce for pasta, vegan lasagna, mac and cheese, or to make this vegan white pizza!
