Make this Oreo Bubble Milk Tea with just 5 ingredients and in less than 10 minutes! Also called cookies and cream boba, this drink is creamy, sweet, and SO delicious!
2tablespoonbrown sugar syrup(or substitute with brown sugar mixed with boiling water)
1cupmilk of choice (I use soy milk, but any milk will work)
4oreo cookies, with white cream removed
1 small scoop(~¼ cup)ice cream of choice(I use vanilla)
¼cupbrewed black teaoptional
Ice cubes for servingoptional
Instructions
In a small pot, add 4 cups of water and bring to a boil. Add the pearls and cook overmedium heatfollowing the packaging instructions. Then, drain and add to a small bowl or the glass you'll use for serving. Coat with 2 tablespoons of the syrupimmediately.
¼ heaping cup quick-cooking tapioca pearls, 2 tablespoon brown sugar syrup
To a blender, add your milk of choice, ice cream, brewed black tea, and the oreo cookies (without the frosting). Blend on high for 1 minute, or until the mixture is completely smooth and no chunks of cookies remain.
1 cup milk of choice, 4 oreo cookies, with white cream removed, 1 small scoop (~¼ cup) ice cream of choice, ¼ cup brewed black tea
If you haven't already, add the tapioca balls to the bottom of a large glass, followed by a few ice cubes. Pour the milk tea over the ice cubes and give everything a good stir. At this point, you can add more brown sugar syrup if you like it sweeter. Serve right away and top with whipped cream if desired!

Notes
Cook the tapioca pearls according to packaging instructions. Cooking time can vary depending on the brand you're using, so I can't give you exact instructions. Make sure to follow the packaging notes to avoid overcooking your boba.
Serve with freshly cooked tapioca pearls. Don't cook the boba ahead of time! The pearls taste best when they're warm and freshly made, and start to harden after a few hours.
Adjust the sweetness to your liking. The best part about making boba milk tea at home is that you get to decide how sweet or strong you want it to be. I recommend starting with a small amount of brown sugar syrup (2 tablespoons), and adding more after you taste it.
Use a boba straw to enjoy this delicious drink. Regular straws won't work in this recipe, but if you can't get your hands on boba straws, you can use a spoon.
StorageI highly recommend serving this cookies and cream boba fresh, right after you cook the tapioca pearls. They tend to get firm and become hard to chew after a few hours. The only things you can make in advance are simple syrup and brewed tea. The tapioca pearls cook in 5 minutes, so I advise against making a big batch to save for later.
