This Bahama Mama Smoothie is a copycat recipe from one of the most popular drinks at Tropical Smoothie Café. It's creamy, and refreshing, with hints of strawberries, coconut, and white chocolate. Just 5 ingredients and 1 blender needed!
To a high-speed blender, add coconut milk, frozen strawberries, frozen pineapple, white chocolate, and vanilla extract.
Blend on high for 1-2 minutes, or until completely smooth and creamy and no chunks of chocolate remain.
Pour the smoothie into a glass or a mason jar and enjoy right away!
Notes
Blending. A powerful blender ensures the chocolate and frozen fruit blend is completely smooth. If you don't have a high-speed blender, melt the chocolate in 10-second intervals in the microwave, stirring between each, before adding it to the blender.
Adjust the consistency. For a thinner smoothie, add more liquid. For a thicker, spoonable texture, start with less and blend.
Using fresh fruit? Add about ½ cup of ice to chill and thicken the smoothie.
Meal prep option. Freeze all ingredients (except milk and vanilla) in individual bags. When ready, add to the blender with the liquid and blend.
Storing leftovers. Smoothies are best enjoyed fresh, but you can refrigerate them for up to 24 hours. For longer storage, freeze in a container or ice cube tray and reblend when ready (up to 3 months).
